When we look in the mirror and say to ourselves “why am I not beautiful”, what we really are saying is “Allah I am ungrateful”. We should be happy with what is given to us by Allah and stop comparing ourselves to false standards created by the fashion industry. Every single one of us is beautiful and there is no such thing as being ugly just because you don’t look like the men and women in the magazines.

When people cannot see the beauty in you that does not mean you are ugly but it means that their hearts are corrupted, their arrogance is sky high and their eyes have sinned so much that they cannot see the beauty in others anymore.

So the next time you look in the mirror say “Alhamdullilah” and be a grateful servant. None of us is ugly, it’s just that some people are so arrogant that they have to put others down to feel better about themselves, this says something about their “beauty” and absolutely nothing about yours.
